THANK YOU to everyone that came out on a chilly June 2nd morning to participate in the shoot this year! Although this was the smallest of the shoots so far, it was also the most influential and most viewed image to date! Which just goes to show that the power of the purpose behind the image. It' imperative to let everyone know about breast cancer...not just "older" women....but WOMEN in general, and yes, MEN too!
Bret Miller, MALE breast cancer survivor and founder of the Bret Miller 1T Foundation, showed up and participated this year! The impact of having a male survivor in the front row and standing strong with all the women was an amazing and very emotional moment. Thank you Bret, along with all the other survivors for coming out and baring your scars. You are all warriors in this fight and your strength is motivating. Thank you to all the family members and supporters that came out as well, for without all of you, they would be alone.
Breast cancer can affect anyone! Man, woman and in recent cases, even children!! Breast cancer is not prejudice to anyone in any way. If nothing else comes out of this shoot....let it at least be that. Please get checked out or check yourself out. Know your body. Women AND men.
